Jolie: 'Mr & Mrs Smith Changed My Life'

She may have remained tight-lipped on her rumored pregnancy, but Angelina Jolie was only too happy to open up about other aspects of her off-screen life, including partner Brad Pitt.

Speaking at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival after receiving the award for Outstanding Performance of the Year Award for her role in A Mighty Heart, the 32-year-old discussed her personal life including her life-changing role in Mr. & Mrs. Smith, which ultimately led her to the hunky Fight Club star.

”Obviously I'm very glad I did it – It changed my life,” said a smiling Jolie.

The mother-of-four also revealed more about her relationship with her estranged father, Jon Voight, with whom she worked with on her blockbuster flick, Tomb Raider.

She added: ”Strangely enough, the scene was about a daughter and her father who had not spent their lives together and had a lot of questions for each other.

“[It was] kind of therapeutic for us to get some things out and talk. We spent that time as two artists, and it was a special time. It was an important time."

And the actress holds no hard feelings towards her ex-husband and Pushing Tin costar Billy Bob Thornton.

Jolie - who admitted that she still doesn't know how to operate a computer - was also pressed about which role was more rewarding - that of an actress or humanitarian.

"I love being a mom,” she concluded “I think that's my big passion: being with my family."

Nicole Kidman Takes No Baby Risks

After multiple miscarriages, Nicole Kidman is not taking any risk to ensure her baby is healthy. The Academy Award-winning actress is reportedly going all-natural in her pregnancy for her baby's sake.
Sources say the 40-year-old actress has temporarily stopped her regular Botox injections as she takes extra precautions in her pregnancy. Also, she's going back to red, her natural hair color, as she worries dye chemicals will harm her baby.

"[Kidman used to] worry about how she looked all the time. Now she's unwilling to take a risk with procedures that could harm the baby," a source says. "She looks more beautiful than ever."

Her husband, country singer Keith Urban, also thinks the statuesque actress is rocking the pregnancy glow as "he can't stop telling Nicole how beautiful she is and how much he loves her."

Kidman had previously confessed about her failed pregnancies while married to Tom Cruise. They have two adopted children together, Isabelle and Connor. This will be the actress and Urban's first child.

Dia Mirza's career has been showing a steady escalation.

Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd., Shootout At Lokhandwala and Cash were her major movies of the year while she also had a song and dance appearance in Heyy Babyy and Om Shanti Om. In addition to these assignments, she was also seen in one of the best short stories of Dus Kahaniyaan - Zaahir.

Now 2008 too has a lot in store for the pretty actress as she would be seen in at least 5 movies. Her first release would be Krazzy 4 which is a biggie considering the fact that it comes from the production house of Rakesh Roshan. Another of her biggies would be Alibaug which is produced and directed by Sanjay Gupta.

Later in the year she would also be seen in two small films - Bits And Pieces and Fruit And Nut. While Bits And Pieces is directed by debutant Manmohan Mahapatra and also stars Rahul Bose, Nandita Das and Reema Sen, FRUIT AND NUT also has a debutant director Kunal Vijaykar at the helm. The film stars Boman Irani and Cyrus Broacha along with Dia.

Currently Dia is shooting for SHOEBITE, a film directed by YAHAAN fame Shoojit Sirkar. The film has Amitabh Bachchan as the central protagonist.

With five of her films expected to hit the screens in the course of the year, it is indeed busy days ahead for Dia Mirza.

I Know About Fours And Sixes: Preity Zinta

As a present for her birthday on January 31, beau and businessman Ness Wadia could not have given the lovely Preity Zinta anything as exciting as a partnership in the Indian Premier League deal he cut with her and partners Karan Paul and Mohit Puri last week.

They bid Rs 300 crore and got the Mohali team in the Board of Control for Cricket in India’s (BCCI) thrilling new T20 format starting this April.
Preity is happy to be part of the IPL especially since Shah Rukh Khan, with whom she started her career in Dil Se, has bid for and won the Kolkata team. “Today we’re both making our debuts in cricket,” said Preity.
This is not the first time she is doing business with Ness. She’s also reportedly a part of (and endorses) the Wadia family airline. “But this is my first bona fide business venture. I’ve never before submitted a tender and felt the thrill of watching it materialise. I can’t be a sleeping partner in any business. I’d give everyone nightmares! Can you imagine me keeping quiet? Not when the entertainment industry is rocking. Cricket and Bollywood coming together is huge,” laughed Preity.
Do their professional alliances indicate a life together? “I don’t know,” replied Preity, “but Ness and I work well together. We hope to make the IPL deal a success. It’s the first time I’m sitting in a boardroom. So many firsts for me! I’m excited. It’s very different from working on a film where you’re on your own when ‘action’ is called on camera.”
The perky Bollywood actress happens to be the only woman in the IPL. “I know,” said Preity, “why do boys have to have all the fun? It’s 2008, women should get more active in business. I won’t pretend to be a huge cricket buff, but now I’ve no choice, I’m learning about the game. I’m reading books, watching old matches. I think cricket is a gentleman’s sport, regardless of winning and losing. And I know how to hold a bat and I know what sixers and fours are all about!”

I’m Not Seeing Ritiesh, Says Anusha Dandekar

She has got films like Viruddh: Family comes first and Mumbai Matinee behind her. She has also featured in the musical Miss Bollywood, “working in which was a great experience”, she says.

Bright and bubbly, VJ-turned-actress Anusha Dandekar is enjoying her life to the fullest. Recently, Anusha’s name has been linked with the VJ Ranvijay and actor Ritiesh Deshmukh. Is there any truth in either of the stories, one asks her.

Without pausing for a second, she replies, “I’ve been linked with Ranvijay for quite some time, and I don’t really want to talk about it. But, I would like to clarify that I’m not seeing Ritiesh Deshmukh.”

Since she has her roots in Pune, it is but natural that Anusha is extremely fond of the city. When asked about her favourite place in the city, she says “My ajji’s place. I love going there.” She adds, “I also like riding around town on a bike.” But, she doesn’t ride herself. “No one lets me,” she says in a complaining tone, adding “Personally, I think I’m good at it. The one time I rode, I did a good job.”

The purse is very important for every woman, since she carries her world in it. What does Anusha carry with her? “A lip gloss, a fragrance, keys and a mirror with a light,” she quips, “The mirror always helps.” Yes, we agree too.

Knightley All Set For 'The Duchess'

Keira Knightley is all set to don period costumes once again, for she's playing 18th century English socialite Georgiana Spencer.

The actress, who has gone back in time in films like Pirates of The Caribbean, Pride + Prejudice and Atonement, will join forces with Ralph Fiennes for The Duchess.

Spencer, the Duchess of Devonshire was famous for her beauty, extravagances, gambling addiction and her part in the French Revolution.

Regrettably, according to Knightley, since her life was so rich most of the scandal she had earned has been left out of the movie.

"We didn't have the budget to go to the French Revolution. You could make five films out of her life," Contactmusic quoted Keira as saying.
